Sanabis service station officially opened

 (June 7, 2010)

Sanabis Service Station was officially inaugurated on June 7, 2010, by H.E. the Minister of Oil & Gas Affairs, chairman of the National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA) and chairman of Bapco, Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza. The official reopening was also attended by a number of other Ministry of Oil officials and members of Bapco’s management.

The station’s reopening comes after undergoing a major face lift as part of Bapco’s ongoing redevelopment scheme for its service stations.

The redevelopment work on the station, which was originally built in 1990, started in May 2007 and was completed in May 2008. The total cost of the renovation project was BD189,880, and the work included demolishing the existing sales building and building new one, building a convenience store, repairing the canopy beam structure and replacing it with an aluminium roof. Other work included modernising the design of the canopy and aluminium cladding to match that of other new Bapco service stations, replacing all electrical wiring and all lighting at the station, as well as general paint work.
